When Haiti qualified for the World Cup, I knew I wanted to make the experience special for my daughter. So this Saturday, we’re turning our basement into our own little stadium for a father-daughter date night. There will be pizza, cheering, plenty of phone scrolling in between plays, and hopefully a few unforgettable moments as we watch Haiti take on Scotland.

I know she may not remember every score or every highlight years from now, but I hope she’ll remember that for one evening, we slowed down, spent time together, and shared in the excitement of history in the making. Sometimes the best World Cup memories aren’t made in the stands…they’re made at home.

    BeLOUD was never just clothing.

Since 2011, it started as a message—
don’t be shy with your praise,
don’t be silent with your worship,
don’t be greedy with your testimony.

    Be loud about it.

But in 2020, after the world shifted, BeLOUD became something more.
It became a brand that tells the story of a people.
A brand that turns garments into conversation.

Because when you wear BeLOUD, people ask questions.

    What is 1804?
    Who are the Nèg Mawon?
What is that fortress on your chest?

And just like that—history is spoken.
    Culture is carried.
    Truth is shared.

1804 — the year Haiti became the first free Black republic.
Nèg Mawon — the freedom fighters who resisted, organized, and reclaimed their humanity.
The Citadelle — built after the Battle of Vertières, a fortress placed above the mountains as a declaration: we will never be conquered again.

Once called La Perle des Antilles, Haiti was the richest colony in the world—
and still, its people chose freedom over comfort.

    That is resilience.

In 2022, the Resilience collection was created.
No official launch. No mass production.
Just a few pieces, quietly existing—waiting.

    Because timing matters.

And today, June 13, 2026, the day Haiti returns to the World Cup stage against Scotland in Boston, the moment is now.

52 years ago, in 1974, Haiti qualified for the World Cup.
That same year, I was in my mother’s womb.

When Emmanuel Sanon scored against Italy—
the goal that shocked the world—
I believe something in me moved.

Before I ever saw the world, I felt my people rise.

Today, I stand as Haiti rises again.

    This drop is called:
    LINEAGE — 1974 → 2026

    Because this is not coincidence.
    This is inheritance.

And now, as conversations grow around Haiti being told to silence parts of its identity on the global stage, let this be clear—

If telling our story is “political,”
then BeLOUD became political in 2020.

    And we will continue.

    We will continue to create.
    We will continue to represent.
    We will continue to educate.

Because every person who wears BeLOUD becomes a storyteller.
    A carrier of culture.
A voice that refuses to be erased.

    This is more than fashion.
    This is memory.
    This is resistance.
    This is pride.

    This is Haiti. 🇭🇹
